at Alexanderplatz; at FriedrichstrasseFinally, someone got it right: A mobile grill carried like a backpack. The infamous German Grillwalkers happily turn and burn their brats from various locations around the city, topping it off with a squeeze from only two choices: ketchup or mustard.
Hilariously functional, Grillwalkers don’t need a permit (unlike their stationary cousins, the imbiss) as none of the food has the potential to touch the ground; they’ll also compete with one another while in the same location. Often those in wheelchairs get more business as they play the pity card. Not that we discriminate: we just go where the line is shorter.
